Investment Research - RSS research to your desktop

RSS is a convenient and fast way to keep updated on new UBS Equity Research publications. Simply subscribe to one or more of the RSS services listed here, and notification of new research will be sent direct to your desktop, avoiding the need to log in to the website itself, or wade through hundreds of emails.

UBS Investment Research RSS feeds come in two forms:

  • Headline only. The feeds listed below are updated hourly, so may not immediately reflect the release of new research. No password is required.
  • Enhanced content. Updated every 5 minutes, these feeds also include full document summaries. You must be an institutional client with access to the Equities Client Portal in order to subscribe to these feeds.

What is RSS?
RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication", and is an XML-based format for distributing information from web sites. An RSS service (sometimes called a "channel" or "feed"), consists of a list of items containing a headline, date and a link to a web page. For the UBS services listed here, the full content is made available on the Equities Client Portal.

RSS makes it easy to aggregate content from many different sources, and automatically keep that information updated. Although a relatively new technology, RSS feeds are rapidly gaining in popularity, and now appear on many major news and information web sites, including those for the BBC, the New York Times, CNN, and Reuters.

How do I use RSS?
RSS feeds are viewed using a program called an RSS news reader, or "aggregator". There are many news readers already available, and more are appearing all the time. Subscribing to a feed differs from one reader to another; usually this involves copying the URL of the feed from the address bar on your browser (or by right-clicking the feed link and selecting "Copy Shortcut"), and pasting this into the reader. Some readers allow "drag and drop" of the RSS icon into the reader software.

An alternative to downloading a dedicated news reader is to use a Web-based news reader. For example, My Yahoo! users can now add RSS feeds directly to their personal page, and many other web sites now provide RSS aggregation features.

Personal use of UBS RSS feeds within a news reader or web-based aggregation tool is encouraged. However, this content may not be redistributed on any other web site or in any other form without prior written consent from UBS AG.
