Alex Wilmot-Sitwell was appointed co-CEO of the Investment Bank in April 2009. He was previously appointed Joint Global Head of the Investment Banking Department in October 2005. He is also Chairman & CEO for UBS Group, EMEA.
Prior to that he was Joint Head of European Investment Banking since April 2004 and Head of European Client Coverage. He joined the firm in 1995 as Head of Corporate Finance in South Africa and moved to London in 1998 as Head of UK Investment Banking. He is responsible for looking after a number of major corporate clients and has been involved in a wide range of transactions for companies such as Anglo American, Old Mutual, South African Breweries, Carlton Communications, Liberty International, ScottishPower, Wolseley, British Airways and FirstGroup.
Alex graduated from Bristol University with a degree in Modern History.
