Suneel Kamlani is Chief Operating Officer of the Investment Bank. He was appointed as COO in November 2008. Prior to this, he was Chief Administrative Officer and Chief of Staff in the office of the CEO. Suneel is a member of the Investment Bank's Executive Committee and the Group Managing Board.
Previously, Suneel was Global Head of Debt Capital Markets. He has over 20 years of investment banking experience, having managed UBS's Debt Capital Markets business in Europe, the Americas and Asia-Pacific, as well as the Investment Banking Division in Asia. He was in charge of UBS's debt origination, derivatives marketing, liability management, structured finance and sovereign and ratings advisory businesses globally. He also had responsibility for the firm's fixed income, interest rates and currencies business in the European region.
Prior to joining SBC in 1988, he worked in the investment banking division at Bankers Trust Company in New York. He holds a BA in Economics and Finance from Northwestern University. |
