UBS tops 2008 All-Europe Hedge Fund Research Team Report

Alpha magazine, the hedge fund-focused subsidiary of Institutional Investor, has published the results of its 2008 All-Europe Hedge Fund Research Team Report, showing UBS in a number of prestigious positions.

The data and findings of the report were compiled as part of the All-Europe Research Team survey conducted annually by Institutional Investor, in which UBS topped the charts for the seventh consecutive year.

Amongst hedge fund voters, UBS ranked first for overall research in Developed Europe, ahead of Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch, and third in Emerging EMEA, making UBS the only broker to rank in the top three in both regions.

UBS retains title of Commodity Derivatives House of the Year

UBS has once more been named Commodity Derivatives House of the Year by Futures and Options World (FOW), the leading publication devoted to the exchange traded derivatives industry.

Particular mention was made of UBS's contribution to emerging markets - especially Emissions and Power - and the firm's overwhelming breadth of exchange participation, with the speaker for FOW describing UBS's range of product coverage as "truly impressive."

UBS top for Equity Derivatives in Risk magazine's Corporate End-User Survey 2008

UBS has maintained its leading position in the Equity Derivatives category of Risk magazine's Corporate End-User Survey 2008, for the fourth year in a row, with corporate clients ranking the firm as the No. 1 for Equity Derivatives overall.

The results of the survey, published in the April issue of Risk, reflected UBS's strength in the equities derivatives markets, with the firm maintaining the No. 1 position across both the Equity Index Options and Single Stock Options categories.
