UBS rises to No.2 for US Research for hedge funds

UBS has jumped to equal second placing in the Institutional Investor All-American Research Team 2006 poll, as voted by hedge funds. The result sees UBS with six ‘First Team' rankings and 25 ‘Team Positions' overall.

Alpha Magazine retabulated the results of Institutional Investor's 2006 All-American Research Team, to determine the placings.

UBS Pactual launches

Following the successful completion of UBS's acquisition of leading Brazilian bank Banco Pactual, the newly combined business, known as ‘UBS Pactual’ has been launched.

UBS Pactual employs approximately 750 people and has offices in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte and Recife. It comprises three business groups - Investment Bank, Wealth Management and Asset Management.
