UBS tops the rankings for mid-market M&A UBS has shot ahead of the competition in the global rankings for mid-market mergers and acquisitions. According to figures from data provider Thomson Financial, the firm was top global advisor on transactions valued up to US$200m and US$500m. The mid-market is a growing sector for M&A, where so far this year
the volume of deals with a rank value up to US$500m has reached US$367.8bn,
representing an increase of 9.8% compared to the same period last year.
Much of this mid-market M&A growth was driven by transaction volumes
in the US, where UBS emerged as the market leader for deals up to US$100m,
US$200m and US$500m, with US$9.9bn in aggregate value from 52 deals that
were valued up to US$50m.
