UBS named leader in the industry by Global Custodian's Prime Brokerage Survey.

UBS bolstered its prime brokerage business significantly in 2003 with the acquisition of ABN AMRO, and now Global Custodian, a key trade publication for the prime brokerage industry, has recognized UBS as a leader in the industry in its annual Prime Brokerage Survey. The results, which leverage the strengths of both groups, show UBS as best in class in all seven service areas for the small hedge funds sector among many other awards.

"The survey results show that our clients have validated our claim that UBS Hedge Fund Services helps hedge funds launch successfully and supplies sophisticated products and incremental service to funds as they grow," said Alex Ehrlich, Global Head, Hedge Fund Services.

Surveys were completed by 1,336 hedge funds worldwide with more than 60% of respondents in the US. Survey results are based on three primary factors: scores, respondent comments and market presence, including size, sophistication and nature of the client base.
