UBS expands its support for Hong Kong Rugby Football Union

Entering its 11th year as the principal sponsor of the Hong Kong Rugby Football Union (HKRFU) National Teams, UBS has expanded its partnership with Hong Kong rugby and the HKRFU.

The firm's support now encompasses all HKRFU National Team age grades, including the boys' under 14s, under 16s and under 18s teams, the women's under 19s team, the Hong Kong Emerging XV and the men's and women's Senior National teams of both seven and 15-a-side.

UBS has one of the best corporate internets in the world

The Financial Times has taken a look at the websites of 60 of the world's largest companies, and published a ranking of them.

According to the paper, UBS has the ninth best site overall, ranking first as a website serving jobseekers, and third as a site serving investors.

UBS voted top Pan-European Sales Force for fourth year in a row

For the fourth consecutive year, UBS has been voted No.1 Pan-European Sales Force in Institutional Investor magazine's annual Pan-European Equity Sales Rankings for 2007.

To determine the overall Best Generalist Sales Force, Institutional Investor surveyed portfolio managers, buy-side analysts, directors of research, chief investment officers and other investment management individuals at firms that manage European equities.

This year's survey is based on the opinions of individuals at 414 firms both in Europe and abroad.

UBS Hong Kong recognized for its work in the community

For the third consecutive year the Hong Kong Council of Social Service has recognized UBS Hong Kong as a Caring Company for its efforts in the local community.

The Caring Company accreditation is awarded to companies on the basis of achieving excellence in at least two of six categories. The criteria include: encouraging employee volunteering; providing a family friendly and gender sensitive work environment; employing vulnerable groups; developing partnership projects with the social service sector; sharing business expertise with social service organizations via mentoring; and charitable giving.

UBS Hong Kong was recognized in the volunteering, partnering, mentoring, and charitable giving categories, as a result of strong ties and support for programs including Youth Outreach, UBS Reading Angels, and Operation Santa Claus.

UBS's employee training program ASCENT was recently honored with a top Leadership award for learning programs from the Corporate University Xchange (CUX).

The CUX Awards for Excellence and Innovation in Corporate Learning recognize corporate and government learning organizations that create exciting, impactful programs that result in measurable improvements in employee and business performance.

UBS was recognized in the Leadership Development category for 'Exemplary Practice' for implementing successful, high-impact learning and development programs targeted to managers, high potentials and senior executive leadership.

UBS and the London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) have been presented with a prestigious Sustainability Award from UK charity Arts & Business, in recognition of the powerful partnership which spans more than a decade.

The Arts & Business Sustainability Award recognizes successful arts and business partnerships that have been sustained over time for the mutual benefit of the organisations and the community at large.

UBS named No.1 Emerging EMEA Research Team in 2007 Institutional Investor poll

UBS has secured top spot in the 2007 Institutional Investor Emerging EMEA Research Team poll.

The firm ranked No.1 with a total of 10 ranked places, putting UBS ahead of Deutsche Bank, which was ranked No.1 last year.

UBS Securities Malaysia becomes first foreign broker in Malaysia to be granted authorised borrower status

As part of the Malaysian Securities Commission's efforts to develop and deepen the country's capital markets, Bursa Malaysia has reintroduced regulated short-selling and securities borrowing and lending activities and has granted UBS Securities Malaysia authorised borrower status under the scheme.
