UBS named Best Equity Derivatives House in Asia Pacific Structured Products Magazine has named UBS the Best Equity Derivatives House in Asia Pacific. In announcing the award, SP Magazine applauded the firm for "constantly striving to improve client service, offering consistently competitive pricing and seizing new opportunities." In earning us the award, UBS clients have praised the firm for our "reliability, creativity and seamless executions," along with our "quality and quantity of new product ideas." The publication emphasized that we have "faultlessly kept every commitment" that we made before the collapse of Lehman Brothers last year, the anniversary of which is this week. Specifically, the magazine highlighted the product Twin Win, as well as its variant the Twin Win Speeder. This is the second time that UBS has won this award. 10 September 2009First global investment bank connected to Burgundy UBS has become the first global investment bank to connect to Burgundy, outside of its owner consortium. Launched in June, Burgundy is a European regional multilateral trading facility (MTF) for Nordic securities. Through this new connection, UBS clients will now have even more efficient, seamless electronic trading access to over 600 additional Nordic securities. This means that the firm's hedge fund, investment manager and broker clients can now send direct market access ("DMA") and algorithmic trading orders for stocks listed across Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark. With over 35 direct connections to Exchanges and other trading venues around the world, UBS Direct Execution has established itself as a global market leader.
