Annual survey puts UBS among the top global derivatives houses

Risk Magazine's fourteenth annual derivative dealer survey has once again placed UBS among the top global derivatives houses, with rankings across all business areas, and a particularly strong showing again in FX and interest rate derivatives. In this key industry survey aimed at interbank and bank intermediary players, UBS won 26 gold medals out of a total of 192 sub-categories, the second highest number awarded.

With 15 first-place rankings in FX, UBS won more than twice as many gold medals in this category than the next competitor. Top rankings were achieved across all categories, including FX forwards, vanilla options, and exotic options. UBS fared particularly well in exotics, where it achieved a number one overall ranking, having swept the board in the category.

UBS was also top-ranked in Interest Rates, achieving eleven gold medals, the second highest number awarded.

This year, the survey received the largest response to date, with 720 brokers and dealers participating. Respondents were asked to base their choices on criteria such as market-making reliability, pricing, liquidity provision, innovation and speed of transaction.
