UBS achieves perfect score in Corporate Equality Index - for second year running

UBS received a perfect score of 100 percent in the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's 2005 Corporate Equality Index for the second consecutive year.

The report card, in place since 2002, rates Fortune 500 and other major companies on a scale from zero to 100 percent on seven key indicators of fair treatment for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) employees, consumers and investors. The indicators include policies prohibiting discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity, as well as equal health care benefits.

The Human Rights Campaign is America's largest national lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender political organization, with members throughout the US. It effectively lobbies the US Congress, provides campaign support and educates the public.
